Ekta Kapoor
Ekta Kapoor, born on June 7, 1975, is a prominent figure in the Indian entertainment industry. She is a television producer, film producer, and director, known for her work in Hindi cinema and soap operas. Kapoor holds the positions of joint managing director and creative head at Balaji Telefilms Limited, a production company she co-founded in 1994.
Under her leadership, Balaji Telefilms has produced numerous successful television shows, making Kapoor a prominent figure in the Indian television industry. In 2001, she expanded her ventures by launching Balaji Motion Pictures, a film production and distribution company. Additionally, in April 2017, Kapoor introduced ALT Balaji, a digital platform for original web series and shows.
Kapoor’s contributions to the entertainment industry extend beyond production and direction. In 2017, she released her biography titled “Kingdom of the Soap Queen: The Story of Balaji Telefilms,” offering insights into her journey and the growth of her production company.
