Somlata Acharyya Chowdhury is an Indian Bengali singer known for her contributions to Bengali film music and her work with her band, Somlata & the Aces. She gained fame with the release of songs like “Tumi Asbe Bole” and “Jagarane Jay Bibhabaree” from the Bengali film “Ranjana Ami Ar Ashbona” in 2011. She has been active in the Bengali music industry since 2007.

In addition to her work in films, Somlata has released several solo albums with her band. She has garnered popularity for her soulful and melodious voice, earning her a dedicated fan following. Her music is known for its emotional depth and evocative lyrics.

Besides her career in music, Somlata also works as a guest lecturer of Psychology in Asutosh College, Kolkata. This reflects her diverse interests and her academic background in psychology.
